Create, invite, and pause a publisher

Create a publisher record, invite them to the portal, and pause one campaign or the whole publisher.

Location: Publishers, Campaign → Number Group, Numbers, Campaign → Inbound RTB Publishers
Use case: Create a publisher, give them portal access, and stop traffic for a number, one campaign, or the whole publisher

A publisher is the source of calls. Creating the record is not the same as giving them a login, and it is not the same as sending them traffic. Those are three separate steps.

Create the publisher

  1. Go to PublishersCreate New.

  2. Enter the publisher name. Use the source of calls, not a campaign name.

  3. Add the publisher’s email if they will log in. The email on the publisher record is what maps their login to this publisher’s campaigns.

  4. Review optional settings: recording access, caps, timezone, and Is Active.

  5. Save.

Then attach traffic: put their numbers in a campaign Number Group, or add them as an Inbound RTB publisher on the campaign. Until one of those exists, they have a record and no calls.

Invite them to the portal

  1. Confirm the same email is saved on the publisher record.

  2. Invite that email as a publisher (not admin) from your organization members / invite flow.

  3. They must Accept the invite email. Signing in without accepting will look like the account does not exist.

  4. After they accept, they see reporting for campaigns tied to that publisher email — numbers and inbound RTB endpoints on that publisher.

A login without the email on the publisher record can open the portal but will not show that publisher’s campaigns. An email on the record without an accepted invite cannot sign in.

Publisher logins cannot pause a single campaign. That is an admin action.

Stop traffic without deleting setup

Active and paused are different. Active / inactive is the lasting on-off for a publisher, a campaign-number attachment, or an inbound RTB endpoint. Pause is a temporary stop on a campaign-attached number. Calls to an inactive or paused attachment are blocked before routing.

Control

Where

What it does

Disable / Enable

Campaign → Number Group

Turns that campaign-number attachment inactive or active. The number stays on the campaign.

Pause / Resume

Numbers list

Temporarily stops traffic on an attached number. If the attachment is inactive, enable it before you can pause it. The grid shows active, paused, or inactive.

Endpoint active

Campaign → Inbound RTB Publishers

Stops that publisher’s inbound endpoint on this campaign only. Configuration stays.

Publisher Is Active

Publishers

Stops all of that publisher’s static numbers and inbound RTB. Child rows show PUBLISHER INACTIVE.

Static numbers — one campaign

  1. Open the campaign → Number Group.

  2. Disable the number to stop traffic and keep the attachment. Prefer this over removing the number.

  3. Or open Numbers, find the attached number, and use Pause. Use Resume when it should take calls again.

  4. Remove the number from the Number Group only if it should leave this campaign. Note the mapping if you will restore it later.

Inbound RTB

  1. Open the campaign → Inbound RTB Publishers.

  2. Uncheck Endpoint active on that publisher and save. Traffic stops immediately; the endpoint and rate stay configured.

  3. Only remove the publisher card if you intend to delete that endpoint.

Pause the entire publisher

  1. Open Publishers → the publisher.

  2. Clear Is Active and save.

That stops static numbers and inbound RTB for this publisher across campaigns. Numbers and endpoints show that the publisher is inactive. Turn Is Active back on to resume. Do not use this when you only need one campaign off.

How to verify

  • Publisher exists under Publishers with the correct email and Is Active.

  • A number or inbound RTB row on the intended campaign shows that publisher.

  • After invite: they accepted, and their login shows only that publisher’s campaigns.

  • After a number stop: Number Group shows the attachment disabled, or the Numbers list shows paused. After an inbound pause: Endpoint active is off. Other campaigns for the same publisher still take traffic.
