Advanced Filtering: Empty Filter Groups Can No Longer Be Saved

Released: July 23, 2026

Category: Bug

Location: Targets/RTBs → Advanced Filtering

What was happening

  • A Target or RTB could be saved with an empty Advanced Filtering group.

  • Empty groups could make the saved filter configuration ambiguous and contribute to calls routing differently than expected.

What’s fixed

  • When Advanced Filtering is enabled, saving is blocked if any filter group has no conditions.

  • The form displays: “Remove empty filter groups before saving,” and directs the user back to the filter panel.

  • Valid filter groups continue to save normally.

  • Empty groups are removed defensively when Advanced Filtering is disabled or when a Target/RTB is duplicated.

How to use it

  • Configure Advanced Filtering as usual.

  • Before saving, either add at least one condition to every group or remove any unused group.

Impact

  • Prevents incomplete Advanced Filtering configurations from being persisted.

  • Reduces the risk of calls routing unexpectedly because of an accidental empty group.
