Publisher Caps allow you to monitor and control traffic from specific publishers. Caps can be configured to notify users, reduce bids, or take other actions when a publisher reaches a predefined threshold
Creating a Publisher Cap
Navigate to Publisher Caps.
Click Add Cap.
Configure the cap settings as described below.
Publisher
Select the publisher that the cap will apply to.
The cap will only monitor and affect traffic generated by the selected publisher.
Cap Type
The Cap Type determines which metric Moja will track against the configured limit.
Connected Calls
Tracks calls that successfully connect to a buyer or destination.
Use this option when you want to control the volume of calls that are actually reaching buyers rather than simply counting all incoming traffic.
Converted Calls
Tracks calls that meet the campaign's conversion requirements.
A conversion is typically a call that satisfies the payout criteria, such as a minimum call duration or another campaign-specific conversion condition.
Use this option when you want to limit the number of billable or qualifying calls from a publisher.
Total Calls
Tracks every call received from the publisher, regardless of whether the call connects, converts, or is rejected.
Use this option when you need to control overall call volume and monitor the total amount of traffic being sent.
Revenue
Tracks the total revenue generated from a publisher's traffic.
Use this option when managing budgets or limiting the amount of revenue generated within a specific timeframe. Once the revenue limit is reached, Moja will apply the configured cap action.Choose the metric that best aligns with your campaign goals and traffic management strategy.
Limit
The Limit defines the maximum amount of the selected metric that is allowed within the chosen timeframe.
Once the limit is reached, Moja will execute the configured action.
Timeframe
The Timeframe determines how often the cap resets.
Available options may include:
Daily
Weekly
Monthly
The selected timeframe should match the volume controls required for your campaign.
Action
The Action determines what Moja should do when the cap is reached.
Lower Bid
The Lower Bid action automatically reduces the publisher's bid once the cap has been met.
This option is useful when you want to continue accepting traffic from a publisher but at a lower value. Rather than completely stopping traffic, the system adjusts bidding to reduce costs and control volume.
Reduction Type
When using Lower Bid, you must choose how the reduction will be calculated.
Percentage (%)
Reduces the current bid by a specified percentage.
For example, a 20% reduction decreases a $10 bid to $8.
Fixed Amount
Reduces the current bid by a specific dollar amount.
For example, reducing a $10 bid by $2 results in a new bid of $8.
Reduce By
Specify the percentage or fixed amount that should be deducted from the publisher's bid when the cap is reached.
Notify Only
The Notify Only action does not modify traffic flow or bidding behavior.
Instead, Moja sends notifications when the cap is reached so users can manually review performance and determine whether any action is needed.
This option is useful for monitoring publisher activity without automatically changing campaign behavior.
Make Ineligible
The Make Ineligible action prevents the publisher from receiving additional traffic once the cap has been reached.
The publisher will remain ineligible until the cap resets based on the selected timeframe.
This option is commonly used when a strict volume limit must be enforced or when budget constraints require traffic to stop after a specific threshold.
Warning Threshold
The Warning Threshold determines when Moja should send alerts before the cap is reached.
The threshold is configured as a percentage of the limit.
This allows users to monitor approaching caps and take action before the configured limit is fully reached.
Notifications
Notifications can be enabled to alert users when warning thresholds or cap limits are reached.
Enable In-App Notifications
Sends alerts directly within the Moja platform.
Slack Integrations
Sends notifications to connected Slack workspaces, allowing teams to monitor cap activity in real time.
Cap Status
Enable Cap is Active to allow Moja to monitor the publisher and enforce the configured cap rules.
If disabled, the cap configuration will remain saved but will not affect traffic or bidding behavior. a publisher while still allowing traffic to continue at a lower bid value.
