AI Agents Enhancement Pack

April 2026

We've shipped a significant set of improvements to AI Agent creation and call flow management. Whether you're building your first agent or fine-tuning an existing one, this release makes the process faster, clearer, and more reliable.

What's New

AI-Assisted System Prompt Generation

Creating a high-quality system prompt just got a lot easier. When you set up a new agent — or update an existing one — the platform now uses your agent's configuration (industry, use case, tone, and any custom data tags) to automatically generate a tailored system prompt for you.

You're no longer starting from scratch. The AI drafts a prompt based on your context, and you can refine it from there.

Smarter Agent Setup Defaults

We've reviewed and tightened up the default settings for new agents so they're ready to work well right out of the box:

  • New agents now come with a default voice pre-selected. No more hunting through options before you can save.

  • First-message interruption now defaults to off. This reflects best-practice behavior for most voice agent use cases.

Clearer, More Guided Agent Creation

The agent creation experience has been improved to give you more context at every step:

  • Model options now include descriptions — you can see what each model family does before you choose.

  • Tooltips and help text have been added throughout the advanced settings, so you know what each option actually controls.

  • The "tags to collect" picker now only shows tags your agent can actually use — no more confusion about unsupported options.

  • Industry, use case, and tone selectors are now part of agent setup, making it easier to configure agents for specific scenarios and powering the AI prompt generation above.

More Reliable Call Flows

We've fixed a class of bugs that could cause call flow conditions and routing rules to silently fail:

  • Tag lookups in Switch and If-Statement steps are now more robust. Tags are matched correctly even if there are minor casing differences or extra whitespace in your configuration.

  • Numeric tag values are handled consistently in routing logic, so number-based conditions behave as expected.
