This article covers both Moja’s Default (Whitelist Data) screening and the Blacklist Alliance bring-your-own-provider option.
What TCPA Compliance does
For each inbound call, Moja checks the caller ID before routing it to a buyer:
Match: Moja ends the call before dialing a buyer.
No match: The call continues through the campaign’s routing.
Provider error or timeout: With Default (Whitelist Data), the call continues. Blacklist Alliance campaigns can be configured to continue or stop the call.
Important: This is a pre-route caller-ID check. It does not replace campaign, publisher, buyer, volume, or spend caps.
Choose a provider
Disabled
No TCPA screening is performed for the campaign.
Default (Whitelist Data)
Checks the caller ID against Moja’s litigator list. This option does not include a full Federal Do Not Call Registry check.
Blacklist Alliance
Uses your organization’s Blacklist Alliance account. A match is based on the lists included in your Blacklist Alliance subscription, which may include litigator, Federal DNC, state DNC, or other lists.
Only Blacklist Alliance exposes the Allow calls on failure setting. It is enabled by default, so the call continues if Blacklist Alliance fails or times out. Turn it off if the campaign should stop the call instead.
The selected provider applies to every inbound call for that campaign.
Cost
Default (Whitelist Data): $0.05 per lookup, as listed on Moja AI pricing.
Blacklist Alliance: Blacklist Alliance bills your organization directly. Moja does not invoice Blacklist Alliance lookup charges.
Disabled: No TCPA lookup is performed.
Configure Blacklist Alliance
Open the campaign you want to configure.
Scroll to TCPA Compliance.
Under Provider, select Blacklist Alliance.
Enter the API key supplied by Blacklist Alliance.
Select the API version supported by your account:
v1,v2, orv3.Choose how calls should behave if the provider fails or times out. The default is to continue the call.
Click Test Connection. Moja performs a live test using
222-333-4444and displays the result. After the connection succeeds, save the campaign before sending traffic.
Verify a TCPA check in Call Life
Open the call in Call Life.
Find the TCPA Check event.
Review the caller ID, provider, and decision: match, no match, or error.
Match: The call was stopped before a buyer was dialed.
No match: The call continued to routing.
Error: The provider failed or timed out. Default (Whitelist Data) continues the call. For Blacklist Alliance, Allow calls on failure determines whether the call continues or stops.

Confirm the correct provider is selected for the campaign.
For Blacklist Alliance, verify that the API key, API version, and subscribed lists are correct.

For Blacklist Alliance, confirm whether Allow calls on failure should be enabled or disabled.
